The Project

This project is called AL (AstroPics Lab) in honor of the great physicist and meteorologist Albert Borras, director of the Pujalt Observatory for 16 years, co-founder of Astroanoia and Anoiameteo, science communicator, and above all, a great friend. He left us in 2024. Ad astra dude!

Following Albert’s philosophy of making science accessible to everyone, this tool has been created, with the idea that everyone who wants to enjoy the hobby of astrophotography will have it a little easier and more affordable.
My name is David Regordosa
Since I was very little, my hobby has been astronomy, although I ended up dedicating myself to the world of computer engineering.
The last years I have been combining the two worlds, AI and Astronomy.
AstroPics Lab is a project born with the idea that anyone who starts in the world of astrophotography will have it very easy.
AstroPics Lab does not want to compete with the fantastic tools that already exist, it simply wants to make the work easier for those amateurs who do not have the time and money to process astronomical images with current tools.
